A Full Circle Custom Workshop

Rescue Slabs is a custom millwork shop producing architectural woodwork from locally sourced material.
Based in the Hudson Valley, we work directly with the tree—milling, drying, and fabricating everything in-house to create cabinetry, flooring, paneling, and furniture that feel intentional within the space.

Because we control the material from the start, we’re able to work with its natural variation rather than against it—selecting, composing, and building in a way that highlights grain, tone, and character. The result is millwork and furniture that are not only well made but grounded in the material itself and built to last.

Our Process

How We Bring Your Project to Life

 Step 1 - Consultation
Step 2 - Design & Development

We start by understanding your space, needs, and overall vision. Whether you're working from plans or starting from scratch, we take the time to align on direction and figure out how to create the perfect product for you.

We develop highly detailed computer drawings and physical samples to refine the design. This phase ensures proportions, materials, and finishes are fully dialed in before production begins.

Step 4 - Delivery & Installation
Step 3 - Fabrication

We coordinate delivery or installation to ensure everything fits and functions exactly as intended. The goal is a seamless final result that feels integrated into the space.

All components are built in-house from carefully selected lumber. From milling to assembly and finishing, every step is handled with precision and attention to detail.
