Rescue Slabs is looking for a Woodworking Apprentice to join our small team in Middletown, NY. We build custom furniture, cabinetry, architectural millwork, and one of a kind pieces from locally sourced hardwoods.
Woodworking Apprentice
This is a hands on position where you'll learn every stage of the process from rough lumber to finished installation. We're looking for someone who:
Is Passionate about craftsmanship
Shows up on time, every day
Has a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn
Is organized and pays attention to detail
Is thorough in every task
Has a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Has a basic understanding of hand and power tools
Can safely lift 50+ lbs
Takes pride in doing quality work
Works well as part of a small team
Keeps a clean and organized workspace
Is willing to work both in the shop and in the field

Basic Woodworking experience is preferred but not necessarily required. We're looking for someone who is excited to be apart of a team. What you’ll learn:
Milling rough lumber
Furniture and cabinet construction
Joinery techniques
Sanding and finishing
Woodworking machinery
Installation of custom millwork
How to build one of a kind projects from locally sourced trees
